MY SERVICES
Mother's Milk Lactation is a Certified Tricare Provider. Tricare will cover 6 visits with a lactation consultant. After your appointment, you will be provided a Super Bill to file with your insurance claim for reimbursement.
We are partnered with The Lactation Network which works with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Cigna, and Provider Network of America (PNOA) PPO versions to cover 6+ lactation visits with an IBCLC. These visits can be used at any time during your prenatal and postnatal period while you are breastfeeding. There are NO OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS for you and TLN will file your visit with your insurance company so there is no work for you to do either.
TLN will be adding additional insurance providers in the very near future.
Click the link below to verify your insurance coverage and schedule your lactation appointment today. You will be notified typically within 24 hours of your approval for paid lactation services. You will NEVER receive a bill when approved through TLN however, you will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
For insurance carriers not listed above, you will receive a Super Bill that you can submit to your insurance carrier. There is no guarantee that your insurance provider will reimburse you as the lactation world is still navigating this complex system and fighting for your right to lactation care.

Here For You
Breastfeeding is hard. Let's just be real about that. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Every child and every journey is unique and comes with its own learning curves and hurdles. The best advice I can give is to start off with zero expectations of how you think breastfeeding is going to go. Get educated and knowledgeable during your pregnancy, before your baby arrives. Being prepared before your baby comes will help you know what to expect, what is normal, when, and if changes in your breastfeeding plans are necessary, and what steps you can take to be successful. Knowledge can help you remain committed to your goal. If you've already had your baby and started your journey but it isn't going according to plan or how you had hoped, reach out for help. CLC's and IBCLC's WANT to help moms be successful. Our primary goal is to help you help yourself provide the best nutrition for your baby as well as enjoy the bond you are forming during the most vulnerable time of your baby's life.
Most often, once breastfeeding is well established, mothers are able to begin enjoying their breastfeeding experience with their babies and IT IS SO WORTH IT!!!
I’m dedicated to supporting and empowering you during your journey by providing the knowledge, skills, support, and praise you need to be successful. Providing your baby with your own milk is one of the healthiest and most amazing gifts that you can give to your child. Breastfeeding ensures that he or she has the best start in their new life.
As your Lactation Consultant, I will provide empathetic care and comprehensive services to guide and support you and your family in overcoming the particular challenges you may face.
Services are provided at my home in Gulfport. If you require services in your own home, an additional cost of $1/mile will be added.
MY STORY
International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
Hey! I’m Wendy and I am the mother of 4 living children, Ayden (18), Bentley (12), Presleigh (7), and Londyn (2). My husband, Anthony, and I have been together for 3.5 years and he brings me 2 bonus children, Kinsey (14) and Lennon (6). Anthony is the owner of True Balance Therapy where he offers Infant and Pediatric Bodywork to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
I attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College-Jefferson Davis where I earned my Associate's Degree in Nursing in 2010, obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2021 from Western Governor's University, and became a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice that same year.
I decided I wanted to be a nurse after my firstborn was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis at 5 days old. I had already lost one son previously at 29 weeks gestation due to parvovirus and this was the next scariest time of my life. My mother was a retired nurse and after watching the nursing staff care for my son in the NICU at Children's Hospital New Orleans, my newfound dream and goal had become abundantly clear.
I have spent over half of my career working in the nursery with newborn babies and during this time I've experienced immense joy and satisfaction in providing their care. Earning my CLC and working with mothers in lactation had been extremely rewarding so I continued my studies, got an additional job working in a lactation department, took my board exam, and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant!
Helping mothers and babies on their breastfeeding journey is very near and dear to my heart. Prior to becoming a CLC and being a mother who successfully breastfed 2 children for 13 months but then struggled for 6 months to feed my girls (both with tongue and lip ties) makes it all the more personal to me to help educate and assist mothers in succeeding to nurture and nourish their babies.
CLIENTS’ STORIES
Wendy is my go to!!! She has literally helped me through my breast feeding journey since the beginning. I can easily shoot her a text to ask her questions about supply, latching, and so much more! If it wasn’t for her I don’t think I would’ve made it this far! She’s so encouraging! 5 out 5! Highly recommend her. Not only does she love her clients but the babies too! ❤️❤️

BEST. EXPERIENCE. EVER!!! As a first time momma not expecting so many trial and error with breastfeeding, my dear friend Wendy was there! I was embarrassed to ask for help and wanted to call it quits sooo many times and was desperate to run to formula in the middle of the night because I was so frustrated, exhausted and in lots of pain! Wendy kept reaching out to me asking how breastfeeding was going so I finally decided to ask for help. She came over and helped with my baby girl’s latch and it changed everything for my breastfeeding journey! She even brought over these pads that would help for soothing the pain at the time and helped walk me through how to use my breast pump not to mention she even picked up a few pieces I needed to order for it!!!! I just love that my breastfeeding journey has been something I now enjoy and love doing!!! She is seriously the most sweetest, caring and trusted lactation specialist I have been with! Thank you Wendy for helping me do what’s best for my baby girl and going above and beyond in what you love! It truly shows So before you want to throw in the towel, reach out to my girl Wendy
